Rising Star: May 2013
Cookie Cart chooses two youth employees each month as its Rising Stars. The program staff determine which teens are striving to be their best. They look for a positive attitude, mindfulness of adult and youth staff, strong attendance, and demonstration of initiative and willingness to help others. |

I have worked at Cookie Cart for 9 months.
What is your favorite thing about working at the Cookie Cart?
My favorite thing is that I get to meet people from all walks of life.
Why do you think that we chose you for Rising Star?
I think that I was chosen for Rising Star because I am always ready to do any work that is asked of me.
What is the secret to your success?
The secret to my success would be to stretch outside of my comfort zone and embrace new learning opportunities.
What is your most memorable moment at the Cookie Cart?
My most memorable moment at Cookie Cart would be going to the different sales events around the Twin Cities. It is really exciting.
What is your favorite type of cookie?
My favorite cookie is for sure M&M.
Can you share some advice on how to become Rising Star?
Some advice I would offer would be to always perform your job duties with care. Double check your work!!

How long have you worked at the Cookie Cart?
I have worked at Cookie Cart for the past 5 months.
What is your favorite thing about working at the Cookie Cart?
My favorite thing is being surrounded by people that I can relate to, and it is nice working with people that actually want to be at work.
What is the secret to your success?
The secret to my success is to take it one at a time, and begin each day with a clean slate. I do not allow yesterday’s problems to affect me today.
What is your most memorable moment at the Cookie Cart?
I was trained by some of the funniest teens at Cookie Cart. One of the Cart Capitan encouraged me to be myself. They really helped me to relax and open up so I was comfortable being myself.
What is your favorite type of cookie?
Fresh Chocolate Chip cookies are my favorite!
Can you share some advice on how to become Rising Star?
My advice would be encourage others to develop integrity, and always make work the top priority when you come to Cookie Cart. |
